Individual Support

While School counselors do not provide therapy or long-term counseling in schools, they do check-in with students about their social emotional needs. Students can make an appointment with their counselor, as needed, to discuss any emotional concerns. Each of the Okemos High School counseling staff are Licensed as Professional Counselors and are able to address personal concerns and short term emotional needs; if long term needs arise, your child's counselor will offer outside referrals.
