OHS Parent Group
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Okemos Parent Group is to help support various activities at the school. This includes: Food for Freshman Connect, Homecoming Week funds for each grade, The Lanzetta Scholarship, Staff Luncheons, OEF Banquet, Okemos Cares, Post Prom, and Senior Farewell. Parent Group is a great way for parents to get involved in the school, meet other parents and help the teachers and students in various activities.
Principal Daniel Kemsley, the Parent Group board and parents/guardians of high school students attend general assembly meetings. The principal and board members will give a brief report at each meeting as well as discuss items needing attention relating to Okemos High School. Meetings are held at the school about five times a year on Fridays at 9 am and run for about an hour.
